Muted Spring

This is how I think about early spring. Gentle green hues emerging from the cool blue of winter, with mottled sunlight lifting our faces toward the sky. 
Except in the city, where early spring is a reminder that no one picked up after their dogs in the winter. But that's not a painting I'm making, friends.
