Blue Plume

This is one of my favorite recent pieces. I love the mix of turquoise and payne's grey on a warm grey background, with little hints of gold. I often paint on a white background, but this grey softens the edges of the color in a very soothing way. I love that there are spots of intense color combine with almost smokey wisps. And, if I'm honest, I like that it's the color of the highlights in my hair.
